Il modulo di lezioni affronterà le questioni storiografiche e i problemi metodologici connessi
all’edizione critica del carteggio tra Benedetto Croce e i socialisti italiani. Il tema verrà articolato nei seguenti argomenti:

2) L’età giolittiana: una categoria storiografica problematica (20 gennaio 2026, h. 15-18)
3) Benedetto Croce: un intellettuale impegnato nell’Italia liberale (27 gennaio 2026, h. 15-18)
4) Dal “Compagno Croce” a La morte del socialismo: parabola di un rapporto difficile (3-4 febbraio 2026, h. 15-18)

The edition of the correspondence between Croce and the Italian socialists
The module of lessons will address historiographical issues and methodological problems related to the critical edition of the correspondence between Benedetto Croce and Italian socialists. The theme will be divided into the following topics:
1) Letters, correspondence, and epistolary networks (13 January 2026, 3-6 p.m.)
2) The Giolittian Era: a problematic historiographical category (20 January 2026, 3-6 p.m.)
3) Benedetto Croce: a committed intellectual in Liberal Italy (27 January 2026, 3-6 p.m.)
4) From “Comrade Croce” to The Death of Socialism: trajectory of a complex relationship (3-4 February 2026, 3-6 p.m.)
